mercy1Find your place at Mercy - whether it be volunteering your time, financially supporting the clinic through giving clubs, or providing our staff with items from our Wish List - we are excited to have you help us serve our mission!

Are you still looking for ways to stay actively involved with your community this summer?  Just take a few minutes to learn how you and your family can stay connected to Mercy Children’s Clinic this summer, as well as support our largest fundraiser!

Here’s how your kids can support our kids:

Hold a Diaper Drive at your church this summer! We need diapers here at the clinic to provide for our kids; to send home with parents when they’re in need of diapers for their children. Together, we can make diapers available for our patients each time they visit Mercy!

Round up your kids and turn your evening walks into family-time spent supporting Mercy! Take a wagon with your kids through the neighborhood, collecting books for our patients and raising awareness of the benefits to bringing your child to Mercy Children’s Clinic. Excess band-aids, paper towels, bottled water, and children’s OTC medicines are also of great value to support our children.

Host a party this summer and create a memorable birthday for a patient at Mercy! In addition to strolling through your neighborhood, collect items for our patients as you host a birthday party or festive night with friends. Bring gifts for the birthday recipient and pair with a gift for a child of the same age. You have the opportunity to make another child’s birthday special, as the paired gift will be distributed to a patient of similar age as his or her birthday arrives. Here’s how you and your friends can team up for the FRANKLIN CLASSIC and support our kids:

Lead a new conversation as you gather at the water-cooler! Chat about the upcoming Franklin Classic at your next water break in the office - toss ideas around with ways to raise money for Mercy Children’s Clinic and set a goal for your team! Run for a cause this fall and participate in Miles for Mercy! (www.franklinclassic.org)

Get fit, stay healthy, and make new friends in your neighborhood! Start a running or walking group with families in your neighborhood, with your co-workers, or with friends from church. Get your friends together, make a plan, and keep each other accountable - Gather your group for an evening run and host a dinner to follow the work-out. Labor Day is a great goal-point if you train all summer!  (www.franklinclassic.org)

Still looking for ways to be involved with great things this summer?

Volunteer at Thriftsmart! Thriftsmart sells gently used clothing and other household items and actually contributes a percentage of their sales to Mercy Children’s Clinic. They would LOVE for friendly, excited young people to be involved with their efforts. Not only do they support Mercy, but they support several other local non-profits in the area. You will gain experience working in retail while giving back to the community! (www.thriftsmart.com)

Attend the Horton Haven or Barefoot Republic Summer Camp! Still looking for a summer camp to attend this year?
