MERCY INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Mercy has an annual budget of nearly $3 million.  Approximately 50% of it is generated through commercial insurance reimbursements, TennCare reimbursements, and sliding fee scale payments from uninsured patients.  The other 50% comes from the generous support of individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Our largest fundraising effort of the year is The Franklin Classic on Labor Day. Please visit the website to learn about sponsorship opportunities for the event as well as other ways to be involved this year!

However, far and away it’s the support of our neighbors and friends that under gird this ministry.  It’s the $25, $50, $100 and larger gifts that come from individuals that make this work possible.  Somewhere among the giving clubs listed below is an opportunity in which anyone and everyone can play a part.

Whether you are involved as a Mercy Miracle Maker or in The Physicians Circle your gift will

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN A CHILD’S LIFE!

Mercy Miracle Makers thanks2

Regular, monthly support in any amount is so important.  To be a Mercy Miracle Maker, simply choose a pledge amount to offer in monthly increments and help us continue to take steps to follow out our mission.

Angels of Mercy

Angles of Mercy are supporters who provide gifts of $1,000 or more annually. This group exemplifies the spirit of giving and fulfills the ministry of Mercy by this type of yearly contribution.

Dream Makers

The dedicated group of supporters honor the spirit of those who have gone before us to dream that quality healthcare IS available to ALL children at Mercy. This group invests $10,000 or more annually.

Hope Makers

Where there is no hope, there is no life.  This group of annual supporters knows the hope of the gospel - that one day all things will be made new. Each Hope Maker contributes $25,000 each year.

Physician’s Circle

Dedicated to building a solid future for Mercy, members of the Physicians Circle invest $35,000 or more annually.  Members are requested by the clinic providers, board members, and Leadership Team to attend an annual reception.  Additionally, they receive recognition in Mercy publications and at all Mercy events.

Doc-2-Doc Program

Physicians and other providers are encouraged to “adopt” a Mercy provider with personal encouragement and financial support on a one-on-one basis.  Like overseas missionaries, you’ll establish a relationship with a Mercy provider whom you can support with prayer, encouragement, and finances.

*As a 501 (c) 3, all donations to Mercy Children’s Clinic are tax deductible!

WAYS TO INVEST

On-line – Just enter through the “Donate” button and make a secure gift via this website with a check, check card, or credit card.

Monthly – Consistent, regular support is so important to our work.  Additionally, you’ll save time and money by not having to mail a check.  It also saves Mercy administrative cost as we’ll only send you an annual statement for tax purposes. Fill-out the form for Mercy Miracle Maker and we’ll debit your checking account or credit/debit card in the amount you choose.

Appreciated stock – Several advantages to contributing stock are: you can contribute highly appreciated shares to MCC without either party paying capital gains on those shares; you get to write off the full current value of these shares; and MCC does not pay capital gains tax when we sell the appreciated share. For information on making a stock gift, contact Tyler Berry IV, financial advisor with Morgan Stanley, at 615-519-6226 (cell) or 615-340-8000 (office).

United Way – In Williamson County, we’re designation #10801 and in Metro Davidson County we’re #3010.  If you live outside of these areas, check with your local United Way office to determine our designation.

PLANNED GIVING

If you are thinking about a future gift, we can assist you in that effort.  A planned gift can be as simple as including Mercy in your will or as complex as establishing a trust.  Would you like to give your money away TWICE? Proper planning can make this happen.  Whatever it is that you want to accomplish with the money God has provided, we can help you through the process.

IN-KIND GIFTS

Please check out our Wish List to see particular items the clinic needs.  We’ll be happy to issue an in-kind receipt for items donated.

You can also support Mercy Children’s Clinic by shopping at the local thrift store, ThriftSmart. The store distributes 100% of their profit to four local organizations, Mercy being one of the four. Shop at the store or drop off gently used clothing, shoes, books, toys, and kitchen items in a ThriftSmart bin near you.
